The Challenge
Ahead of the May 2026 bond proposal vote, the district needed a clean, accessible web presence to inform the community and answer key questions about the proposed improvements. Its existing materials were dense and difficult for the public to navigate, and the district needed a single, reliable digital destination residents could trust.
What I Did
Designed and built a dedicated bond landing page within the district’s existing CMS (Apptegy) using an accessible, mobile-first approach. Organized content into clear sections covering the proposal overview, project breakdown, financial impact, tax calculator, timeline, and FAQs. Applied consistent layout patterns and components to improve readability and user flow throughout. Implemented semantic markup, logical heading structure, and accessible design patterns to support WCAG and ADA compliance. Built the page so district staff could easily maintain and update content leading up to the vote.
The Outcome
The district had a single, well-organized digital destination for community members to get accurate, easy-to-understand information ahead of an important vote. The page reduced reliance on dense PDFs and gave residents a clear, accessible experience across all devices.
